 PETER RUFFORD Specialist in transport and infrastructure planning for local government
Ph 0411 095 511 Peter Rufford is the Executive Director of PEECE and brings to the Group expertise in transport planning, project management and heavy vehicle regulation. He has worked as a road and transport planning consultant since 1990. His early work involved a number of World Bank and Asian Development Bank transport planning studies in north-east China during the early 1990’s. The contacts established at that time have provided the platform for the agreement signed by PEECE with the Jilin Provincial Communications Department in 2010. He has expertise in transport policy and an understanding of the national funding issues for local government through his involvement with the Australian Local Government Association. He has led all the regional transport planning studies over the last ten years for PEECE and provided advice to Councils on available funding sources. He also has a strong transport regulatory background having provided contract services to the National Transport Commission. He has extensive experience in highway planning and pavement asset management including preparing network and link strategies, undertaking gap analyses and reviewing maintenance contracts. |
