Geoff Webb operates an independent Tasmanian based consultancy providing specialist technical services in Pavement Technology, Infrastructure Asset Management and Integrated Management Systems to local government and the private sector.
Geoff has over twenty years experience in the civil construction industry with a particular interest in road pavement construction, materials testing and project management.
After leaving South Australia and adopting Tasmania as home in the late 1970’s Geoff’s career has included positions as:
Technical Officer
for BORAL Construction Materials Group (1980 – 1985) where he was
responsible for field and laboratory testing of concrete, quarry and other
road making products, quarried materials production process control and
quality control.
Technical & Quality Manager for Roadways Pty. Ltd. (1986 – 1996) responsible for the establishment and management of the Company’s NATA registered testing laboratories, the Company’s certified quality assurance management system and technical management of asphalt production, bituminous surfacing and quality assurance in contracts.
Geoff has maintained a close association with the Australian Asphalt Pavement Association serving as Tasmanian State Secretary (1990-1996), Tasmanian Technical Committee Chairman (1993-1996) and has served as a committee member on the Asphalt Mix Design group, a sub-committee of the National Asphalt Research Committee. He is also a member of Standards Australia and has been a NATA signatory (resigned 1996).
Since 1996 Geoff has been operating GR Webb Consulting providing technical services and training to Local Government and the private sector.
